For Tops, use measurement:

• Bust: Measure at the fullest part of your bust, making sure the tape is not too tight.

For Bottoms use measurement:

• Waist: Bend to the side and find where the slimmest part of your waist is, then measure around.
• Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom.

For Leotards use measurement:

• Girth: Measure from the midpoint on the shoulder towards the front, through the crotch and back around to meet the midpoint of the shoulder.

NOTE: Our sizes run bigger than other brands. Just because you wear an adult size in a different dancewear brand, do not assume you wear an adult in Blue Water, go by the size chart. Please note: Our Adult Medium is like an Adult Large in other brands. Follow the guidelines below when choosing your size: 

If you are in between sizes, go with the smaller one. If you are in 2 or more of the measurements on this chart, go with that size, DO NOT SIZE UP FOR GIRTH- it will be too big. We use a 4-way stretch and our garments really do fit within the measurements of the size range, NO NEED TO SIZE UP. Our garments are quality and will last, and fit as your dancer grows. And please read the description on every product, it will tell you how that particular item is fitting. We understand that everyone is different in their specific fit desire, which is why we shoot on models. If you are in doubt, check out the picture as well, these give you clear detail on actual fit, we don’t pin or change any garments during our photo shoots.
